On Saturday, May 31st, activists, educators, students
and community members from across New York City will
gather at Hunter College to take part in the 2008 NYC
Green Conference, sponsored by the Hunter chapter of
the Campus Greens and Green Party NYC.

Members Iraq Veterans Against the War, the Cornell
Global Labor Institute, Physicians for a National
Health Program, and FairVote USA (just to name a few)
will serve as panelists and guest lecturers, focused
on uncompromised critiques of the problems facing us,
and action-oriented strategies that can be built into
the larger network of progressive solution.

GREEN PARTY PRESIDENTIAL BALLOTS MAILED!!

2008 Green Party Presidential Ballots Mailed to NYC
Greens. Citywide effort successfully delivers
thousands of letters thanks to the tremendous
volunteer efforts of Green Party members across New
York City, the city’s nearly 7000 enrolled Green
Party members are receiving ballots for the 2008 Green
Party Presidential nomination process in New York
State.

All returned ballots must be received by Saturday,
May 31st to be counted. All ballots can be either
mailed to the Green Party of Brooklyn’s mail box or
brought to the 2008 NYC Green Conference.

The Green Party will be using a version of
Single-Transferable Voting (STV) to count our
rank-choiced ballots. Delegates will be assigned to
Green Party presidential candidates based on the
proportion of support the candidates receive. At the
2008 Green Party National Convention this July in
Chicago, IL, our delegates will join others from
across they country to decide our 2008 Presidential
candidate.

So be sure to return your ballot ASAP so your voice
can be heard!

Didn’t Get a Ballot?
Are you registered to vote in the Green Party in New
York City but didn’t receive a Presidential
nomination ballot in the mail? Don’t worry: YOU CAN
STILL VOTE!

Just be sure to join us at the 2008 NYC Green
Conference on Saturday, May 31st at Hunter College,
where registered NYC enrollees will have the
opportunity to cast a provisional ballot.

GREEN PARTY NATIONAL CONVENTION IN CHICAGO, IL
FROM JULY 10TH TO 13TH, 2008??

If you’re registered in the Green Party with the New
York State Board of Election’s, and you live inside
of New York City, you’re eligible to be a delegate.

The Green Party of NYC is accepting applications
online now!

Visit www.GREENPARTYNYC.org, click on “Delegates”
and fill out the form to let us know why you should be
elected to represent us in Chicago. Your information
will be presented at the 2008 NYC Green Conference
at Hunter College in Manhattan, on Saturday, May 31st,
where enrolled Greens will get a chance to hear from
prospective delegates and, ultimately, vote for the
delegates they want.

The delegate nomination process ends Wednesday, May
28th so log-on to www.GREENPARTYNYC.org TODAY.
